She. Has Breast Cancer

“In December of 2022, I found myself facing a personal health crisis. While the rest of the world was caught up in the holiday spirit, buying gifts and celebrating at office parties, I sat in a small office at the Sydney Cancer Centre, my head in my hands, feeling utterly lost. The news had just been delivered to me: I had breast cancer.

Overwhelmed by the weight of this diagnosis, I knew I needed to find strategies to navigate through this crisis. Although the emotions and uncertainty were all too familiar, my professional instincts kicked in. Drawing from the systematic strategies I use in my work, I began to see the universal application of these principles to my own situation. It became clear to me that if I was experiencing this, there were surely others facing similar challenges.”

Going through a crisis can be overwhelming and confusing.

We invest in crisis management and planning in business however how do we go when a crisis happens in our personal life?

Often a personal crisis can derail a woman from all that she is juggling, and often personal crises happen when we least expect it. Why do we not see ourselves as the CEO of our own lives and manage it in a similar way?

Crisis management strategy has a universal application in both business and life and these tools can support you when it feels like nothing can. But, by breaking it down and understanding what’s really going on, it can help make the situation seem less daunting. Having a clear idea of what’s happening and why you’re feeling the way you are can help you trust the process and tackle it one step at a time. So, let’s get to the bottom of what’s going on and make it more manageable!”

Through the lens of my own health crisis of breast cancer, I turned to my training and craft and applied the same framework to regain control, face and understand the concept of uncertainty, recognise the impact on identity and to reach a place of strength and resilience.

With this newfound perspective, DanicaB PR is extending work in 2023 to offer frameworks, coaching, and events that help individuals make impactful changes in their lives.

“We aim to provide innovative and out-of-the-box approaches to personal crisis management, empowering individuals to face challenges, regain control, and find a path forward. By offering these resources, we strive to make personal crises more manageable and guide individuals through transformative journeys.”
